A message to all you early birds:

You can keep the worm. I do not like worms very much myself. I think I will have a bowl of froot loops, or maybe a piece of toast instead.

Good Things, Bad Things, Foreign Things and a Chauffeur.

So last week was pretty much the best week of my life. I don't exaggerate. I really don't. But, as they say, all Good Things must come to an end. I'm not sure why though. Why must all Good Things come to an end but Bad Things can just keep on going? Like the series finale of Veronica Mars, for instance. Even though Veronica and Logan were so totally on the verge on something happening (you could tell from the eyesex they shared after Logan beat the crap out of the Russian dude), the show ended with Piz and Veronica still together. Therefore, the Bad Thing will be eternal and the Good Thing will, as far as we know, stay unresolved. It's unfair to say the least.

I attended about a half an hour of a poetry festival today. I'm still wondering why the Hispanic man with his three six page (at least) poems felt the need to recite not only his poems in Spanish, but also have his translator buddy read them in English as well. Not to mention, the translator used the same waving hand motion in such rapid procession, I felt seasick.

I'm going to prom in a few weeks. No news to give as to the dress yet, but I assure you, it will not have feathers. My mom is getting her panties in a bunch about how I'll get to and from. You see, when my sister went to her four proms, she always went by limo. Limos aren't exactly scarce in Las Vegas, as you might imagine. But now we're on an island, and, when I brought up my question about a limo rental, I was laughed at. So I'm thinking of calling the Island Transit people and seeing how ridiculous it would be to rent a public bus for the night a la Party Bus. Although, since the kids here have probably never been on a Party Bus, they would probably laugh at this idea as well. But guaranteed we'd be the only people arriving to the prom via public transportation. Now that's class.

But I got off topic. The topic was: last week was the best week of my life. "Why?" You ask? Well, I'm not really sure. I don't quite remember. That's the thing about Good Things coming to an end and Normal Things replacing them. They're gone and so they start to fade and you start to question whether they really happened at all and, if so, were they really as good as you remember them being. I guess you just have to have faith and hope that the next Best Week of Your Life is better documented.

Well, I'm almost finally, finally out of words.

12:20am

Number of pages complete for Aurora Borealis papre due tomorrow morning: 1/10
Number of pages to go: 9 9/10

So, I've been procrastinating a little. You can tell, because I'm writing in my blog. Check to see the last time I did that. Go on, check.

Right. A long time ago.

And so here I am, energy slowing dwindling, writing a blog instead of a ten page paper. But that's okay. I have superpowers. Oh, yeah. Didn't anyone tell you? I'm amazing. I can type with the speed of light. And guess what else. That's right, I have a costume and everything.

I am The Caffeinator!

Granted, it's no cape and shiny tights, but it's really quite something.

Ten pages on the Aurora Borealis? No problem! I've read His Dark Materials. I know all about what those Northen Lights are really hiding.

Okay, speaking of a book series, (Not the greatest segue, but what can you do?) Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson was released today! Almost an entire month early, too. I was pretty shocked. Normally, I would've just thought that I was stupid and got the date wrong, but I had literally just checked amazon.com yesterday to make sure I had exactly the right date on my Obama calendar. And then I wake up this morning to an email from Maureen Johnson herself, announcing The Hopewell Hotel as open for business. For a second I thought maybe I was still asleep, which kinda bothered me because I had specifically remembered waking up and walking into the living room. But whatever, right? I had been wrong before.

But, no. I was awake. And so was Maureen Johnson. Who was honestly just as surprised (more so, actually) as I was. No matter. I'm just happy to get my grubby little hands on Suite Scarlett! The sooner the better!

A blonde heroine. I already know I'm going to love it.

Also, I'm on the phone with Kristen right now. Well, technically I'm on the phone with Jason Mraz. She's at his concert, I'm listening to him sing You and I Both. You see why I can't be bothered to write this paper? I'm just too busy.
